Reservation Road
From 2007 awards hopeful to 2008 direct-to-DVD, Reservation Road is just about worth watching for the fine performances by Ruffalo and Phoenix if not the Haggis-like hackneyed script.
**

The Dark Knight
Holy hyperbole batfans! Not only is The Dark Knight by far the best batflick ever, but its also the best comic book / superhero film of all-time and one of the best caped crusader chronicles in the history of the character, regardless of medium.
*****

WALL•E
Move over R2, there’s a new, improved (and cuter) robot in the cinematic cosmos than you. His name is WALL•E and his movie is out-of-this-world good. See it, see it now.
*****

The Forbidden Kingdom
Fine for kids, but something of a struggle for more discerning adults, The Forbidden Kingdom will go down in history for teaming up Jet and Jackie for the first-time, but nothing more. Really fight fans deserved a little better.
**

The Mist
The Mist is a superior chiller that puts all other recent horror movies to shame by simply showing what you can do with a little imagination and a lot of creative ability.
****

Kung-Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is an endlessly entertaining, geek-tastic, animated anthropomorphic kung-fu flick for all the family. “Skadoosh!”
****

Hancock
Hancock is unique amidst the ever-growing superhero genre and good overall, but the early funny fluff works much better than the later serious stuff.
